"I would like to resurrect this discussion if I may. I am in exactly the same position except that I have no faith in my existing 6mm U bolts so must change to something else in the next few weeks (on a Tiki 26). The 10mm Wichard U bolts…"
"Excuse me! You meant the distance between the fore beam and the aft beam, I realize, not the mast beam/aft beam. Can't see that on the plans. They show the position of the beam locating blocks just in front of the forward bulkhead, but…"
Hope this finds Houston, Betsy, and yourself in good trim! What's going on?
Center to center, is 10 1/2' on the plans. The cockpit is 8' in length plus its ledgers that support it on the beam chords.
"A judicial weight (meaning the 55 'lb weight of the motor)will likely ease the "hobby horsing." A 4-stroke motor will be seriously quieter than a comparable 2-stroke motor: my old 2-stroke was deafening compare to my current 4-stroke…"

My son said he would do it and I didn't know it was there so big. Thanks, Kim, for the compliment. I like the colour-coordinated photo as a friend took it recently walking to the waterfall when we sailed to Great Barrier Island (on a monohull). But not that big!!!
Hey you didn't happen to save any pics of Gerald Winkler's tiki 26 deck tent did you? They've pulled the site down and finding any info on deck tents has been a real pain. I'm having one custom built for Element and I really liked alot of the ideas from that tent... Thanks!
