Below are photos of how we flipped the Hei Matau. We secured two heavy blocks to an overhead beam, then ran a length of rope through each. We attached the heavy cargo straps to the ropes, which allowed us to rachet the hulls up to clear the trailer. We set up control lines, as Kim suggested, but found we didn't need them with a few people guiding the hulls when we rolled them. It all worked very smoothly.

Hi Folks,
Just put on the topsides and the deckbeams. There is a lot of filleting ahead to fix the topsides to stem,stern and bulkheads of course. But I can't wait to observe the lines of the boat with deckstringers in place. So I'm going to work on that first - just to see... Progress made in July 2011After our summerholiday I will then remove them and start the filleting proces.
