For Tiki 26 sailing check out some videos :) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcD3eG3_Hs3__-Ng5JdnMEw/videos
Soon to be some technical- 'How To' videos and then the crossing of biscay this June :D
I think your vids are great, keep it up mate.Love the whimsical nature of some of them.
Do not forget to tie, will be light. What do you think of this plastcore? I saw some guys using it here, but the hive was more closed
Tie? As in use CSM first?
I love the stuff, yes very light and strong. We'll probably build another cockpit and tender with it.
It will be interestingto hear what Plascore is like to work with. I'm doing some experiments with sandwich construction using glass or carbon fibre over a PVC foam core at the moment.
Hey Robert,
Plascore is great if you use it correctly, its easy to cut and its structural integrity is far superiour to foam. The secret, like with most sandwich constructs is to make sure your resin to fibre ratios are right.
Ideally a vacum table would be the go.
The only real down side of this stuff is that it doesn't like overly compound curves.
Will keep you posted.
(its even used for missile fins)
