Thanks Lee, it is a very clever idea!
I am thinking also in using the pole as a boom tent, instead of the original tent.
On the basis that every item on a small boat should have as many uses as possible, you could also put a camera mount on the end of the pole so you can film yourself underway...
Hi all
Spent the day, sanding off old epoxy and painting interior of starboard hull.Bloody awful work. Should have been neater when i was building.
The interiors are gonna be a bit rough, but I can live with that.
Hi all
I just finished painting the interior of the stb hull, blimey the fumes got to me even with a mask on, not pleasant.I used Uracryl, like on the exteriors for it's hard wearing properties. I may use a water based paint for the port hull which seems to a have lower fumes.
spliced the forestay out of 9mm amsteel blue, now need to make some soft shackles for the hanks. Will start the wiring soon.
Well today saw me do something that I was dreading, I started the wiring of Warthog. I connected the solar panels to the charge controller then the battery. From the battery to a isolator switch and then a fused circuit breaker panel, onto l.e.d. strip lighting. The bloody circuit worked! My first one. Man i am like a kid with a new red bike. ;-)
Hi Paul, can you show some pictures of the instalation? I am going in the same direction and needing inspiration!
Andres of course, when the sun comes up, it's still dark outside. The wiring runs and all equipment is just temporarily in place as I wanted to see if the circuit worked, I will put up some picks later today.
Thanks Paul, it looks very neat!
