Tiki 38, Luckyfish, is for sale. Built from BS1088 Marine Ply and launched in April 2012.  She is build Number 111 with modifications to cockpit and aft deck. Lightly cruised and in excellent condition. A rare opportunity to acquire an as new vessel.

 

Rig:

Aluminium masts with sails by Jeckells; Main, Foresail, Staysail , Jib on furler with lines to cockpit. Cruising chute with sock is good for up to 25 kts and easily handled from cockpit. Sail covers by local loft. Main and Foresail are on single purchase to aid lowering. Easily raised by hand. Double blocks are included. LED all round white and tri colour on masts.

 

Cockpit:

Optimised for easy sail handling and day-to-day living. Four Lewmar evo 32 two speed winches with covers, Lewmar wheel, Garmin GPS/plotter, depth, compass, 12v power. Two full length benches and fold out two leaf  table. Cockpit lockers hold gas Soverign BBQ, 2x 5kg composite gas bottles, four-man life raft. Dodger and roll down shade sides. Whale bilge pump with roaming hose.

 

Foremast Case:

Reinforced with storage holding 100m of 16mm warp, 50m of 12mm, 12kg CQR and a 15kg Bruce with 10m of 8mm chain. 25mm anchor bridle. Lewmar 28 self-tailing to raise engine boxes and for rigging work. Additional space for boat hook and paddles.

 

Bimini:

Nida core bimini doubles as rain catcher directly to water tanks. Holds two 135 watt 12v solar panels, which provide ample power for all the boats requirements and boat has never needed to be connected to shore power.

 

Aft deck:

As per fore deck, Oregon was used on aluminium frame. Ramp lowers easily to access water or retrieve dinghy, which can be pulled up on deck with engine on.

 

Paint:

All exterior of boat was painted with International paint and antifoul. African Mahogany and Teak easy to refresh with wash and oil as left unvarnished.

 

Galley:

African Mahogany trim and sole. Top loading 40 liter day fridge built using 80mm foam and Danfoss compressor. Two burner grill oven and stove. 135l fresh water and salt tap, LED under counter lights all round and overhead cabin lights. 12v power point. Lewmar hatch above stove.  Top loading bin with storage underneath it. Pan locker behind stove, high level cupboard containing cups, glassed, drawers for cutlery. All crockery and cutlery included. Airtight storage containers on shelf for dry goods. Battery monitor.

 

Saloon:

L shaped seating with fold down table. Doubles as extra work surface. Bunk board converts to spare double bunk. Cushions dual density foam with removable covers. Lewmar 600 x 600 forward facing hatch above bunk for ventilation.

 

Port Forward:

¾ bunk with storage under, access to bow compartment, 600 x 600 hatch aft facing. A lovely cabin.

 

Lazarette:

Easy access to galley water tank, all ropes and gear. etc. 3 x 105 amp battery bank. Plenty of pace for storage, kites, iSUPS and spare fuel.

 

Starboard Main Cabin:

Double cabin. Flip up writing/coffee table. Mattress hinged to allow easy access to large storage under bunk and 135l water tank. Full compartment for spares. Lewar 600 x 600 hatch above the bunk. As with other cabins all deck hatches have external covers and internal fabric screens. Portlights have privacy/solar screens. All mattresses come with two sets of under and over cotton fitted sheets. Hanging wardrobe opposite nav area. Tools in cabin step.

 

Nav Station:

Battery monitor (2 x 105A bank in aft cabin), log, handheld VHF, AIS, Fixed Icom VHF, red nav table light, Barigo clock and barometer, 12v inverter ,  self servicing EPIRB, 12v power and undercounter lights. Battery controller allowing choice of charging options.

 

Aft Starboard:

Single bunk/dressing room with storage and battery bank under.

 

Heads:

Jabsco twist and lock, 42l black tank, which is bulkhead mounted and gravity discharged. Bilge pump allows heads to be used as wet room.

 

Port Bow:

Access from either heads or on deck through 600 x 600 hatch. 52l

fridge/freezer, cruising chute storage, etc.

 

Dinghy:

3m Stingray with 5HP Yamaha, planes with two people.

 

Main engines:

Special order Yamaha 9.9hp High thrust 4 strokes with power tilt which allows full control from cockpit. Designed for non-planing displacement craft, they have been faultless using very little fuel, and extremely reliable. 4 x 25l Yamaha fuel containers are included. Engines have own cranking battery.  Serviced with very low hours.

General:

Included in the sale is the following; 8 x large fenders, all necessary mooring warp, full safety kit to Catergory A, bosuns chair, building plans, full spares kit from heads assembly to spare nav lights. There are also two windvane self-steering systems with trim tabs. Photos are from delivery and do not show all cover and cockpit cushions, which are included.

She is registered as Category A in South Africa as well as being listed with SSR in the UK.

I agree with Kim

She's a beauty. Wish I had seen this before I decided to put my head in the main cabin. It is coming out nicely, but I never thought of sacrificing one of the forward cabins. That's a beautiful installation. Any problem with odor from that style of toilet. Still can't decide between the airhead composting or a mascerator.. I've never seen a marine toilet that doesn't burp, and the airhead is said to be odorless, but a little difficult to maintain.

She is beautiful.
