Tiki 30 Project for Sale $6000.

We have a Tiki 30 that we have modified for sale. She is about half finished. Our window of time has run out so its time to fine someone who would like to get a great head start on a boat project. She is meticulously built.

We have made a few modifications. * we added 10" of freeboard for the purpose of getting some headroom in the main cabin and to make the front bunks roomier.

*Increased  the thickness of the bulkheads between the beam pockets.

*Strengthen the beam…

This boat was in Hilton Head this week. It has west coast Canadian registration. Good condition with synthetic rigging and a good paint job. Anyone know it's history?

no where to build

Haven't posted here for a Long time, hoping for some advise and help...

Bought plans for a tiki 30 last year to build with my kids, we were hoping to finish it before they get out of highschool, then we're going to take a year off to go sailing.

The problem is that I can't get anywhere to build, and if I put the money into a building site we won't have enough to build the boat... catch 22

Anyway, I set up a gofundme account to try and raise the funds we need - I… Continue

Tiki 21. Parts layout on the 15mm plywood sheet.

Bonjour,

I started to loft yesterday, making templates for the 15mm sheet of the Tiki21.

I take careful mesurements, then tried to put everything on the 1200 x 2400 plywood sheet. Impossible. I cannot put everything. I finished with no space for one rudder.

Mesured again, and agin. Same results, can't find any mistake on my side.

So, question is: did some of you faced the same problem? I will if necessary find a piece of plywood for the remaining part, but I'd like to know… Continue

About the Wood Triangular Section

Bonjour,

All wood has been sourced now, but the "Triangular Section". Not able (capable?) to find it standard, (here in China, Shenzhen area )and since it is not in the form of a "square triangle", (BC² = AC² + AB²) I hesitate on what to order to mill it myself with my hand circular saw mounted on a table.

I am on a project for a Tiki 21, and the base of the wanted triangular section is 32mm, while the sides are 25mm. Or, "Imperialy speaking" base 1 1/4" and sides 1". (I just…

Epoxy coating

Bonjour,

Plywood is ordered and will arrive soon. Epoxy, I'm still testing. However, I have two questions.

-When you coat plywood with epoxy, is it acceptable to put the second coat before the first is totally cured, without sanding, or is it better to wait that the first coat is totally dry, sand and put the second coat?

-I tried an epoxy yesterday. The seller made the mixture on a scale. I took two pieces of wood, dry. I put some epoxy mixture on both pieces, tied them and made… Continue
