Lugs. Strong enough?

So i'm looking at the lugs that hold on the cockpit and deck box and the question i have is edge glued and screwed 32 mm lug strong enough?  does it have to  be glassed on or a filet on the outside at least, where it attaches to the beams?

Strong fillets (add something like Gougeon's adhesive fiber to the mix.) would be good, and glass wouldn't hurt!

Hi Mike,

     I worried about the lugs too.  NEv glued them in and also through bolted them  one top and one bottom and we filleted them well and never had any problem at all.   We used a really good hardwood and Iroko was selected because it was available.  This was not hard.  No problem and no sweat.  Wow!  You're nearly there!! Wowieeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
