I have a few copies of my book, Voyage of the Ika Roa, for sale. Copies are available from https://bigwords-books.co.nz. Please ignore the out of stock notice, I do have a few copies left. This is the story of building Ika Roa in England and sailing to New Zealand in the 1980s - those pre-technology days where we used sextant, charts and a trailing log.

Hi Heather,
I've just been on the Bigwords Books site. It seems to automatically apply a $5.50 NZ shipping charge, but says to contact the author for overseas orders. I'm in the UK, can you tell me how much it costs to get one shipped here and how I go about ordering it?
Thanks
Rob H
Hi Rob,
Thanks for contacting me. If you order the book through Bigwords, I'll then send another invoice for the extra postage ($14.50).
Heather
Hi Rob,
Thinking about postage...since I only have a few copies of my book left, and I'd like to get them out to people who want to read them, I could waive the extra postage. This means the book is going for half price. :-)
Heather
Thanks Heather, that's great ! I've put the order in and I'm looking forward to reading your book
Cheers
Rob

My copy arrived today, thanks very much Heather. Pretty quick considering it's travelled from the other side of the world. It's great inspiration for me, as it was waiting here when I got home from the boatyard, reassembling my Wharram after a very long refit !
I bought a copy of this book, but I have got to say, it was quite disappointing.
It's a kind of travelogue at sea, but there was very little technical stuff about sailing. Admittedly I haven't read all of it. I'm not interested in what food someone bought at a market at somewhere or other.
Sorry to be critical, but if you keep putting it out there you have to take the flak.
I'll write one of my own soon enough, and you can have a shot at me gratis.
Each to their own. I like travelogues of sailing trips, they inspire me for future voyages...
