Outboardengines on small Wharrams (Hitia 17)

For those who want to mount an engine on a small Wharram here my solution: it was created even under way somewhere in Greece. I fixed a fitting 10cm by 10cm pice of wood rectangular under Beam 1 and 2. Of course Wharramlike only by strong lashings. On this I fixed the engine, turned it 90 degrees, so that the prop pushes in the desired direction (backwards!) So it operated rather like a front wheel driven car, pulled , not pushed. almost no cavitation. I so far only found one picture, where one can see it...

Hi Shaun!

Sorry to say that there are no videos, but I look for detailed pictures. The reason: Hitia  was built in the seventieth (of the last century!) and long ago she was sold... so keep on looking, as soon as I find pictures I post them.

Hi Robert! Thanks for your reply! I found out that there are two mottos to be followed when building a Wharram (but not only Wharram) :

1) stick to the plans!

2) keep it simple! (as you mentioned!)
