"Hi Robert! Thanks for your reply! I found out that there are two mottos to be followed when building a Wharram (but not only Wharram) : 1) stick to the plans! 2) keep it simple! (as you mentioned!) cheers  Meinhard"

Outboardengines on small Wharrams (Hitia 17)

For those who want to mount an engine on a small Wharram here my solution: it was created even under way somewhere in Greece. I fixed a fitting 10cm by 10cm pice of wood rectangular under Beam 1 and 2. Of course Wharramlike only by strong lashings. On this I fixed the engine, turned it 90 degrees, so that the prop pushes in the desired direction (backwards!)…See More

Tikimata 2012

"Huge! ;~) The last time I saw Tikimata in pictures was a voyage the previous owner took with Gerald Winkler and his family in the Med, perhaps the Agean Sea. Yes, Meinhard, I confused you with Josef Mayer and JoJo! Beautiful example of a tiki 31."

"Dear Kim!  I started with a Hitia 17, later built a Tiki 26 (Papalangi), after that a Melanesia - all sold. Now I own a Tiki 38 (Tikimata) which I did not build myself. I started a 38 project the other way round (i.e. first masts, beams gaffs,…"

Dear Meinhard, I remember your visit and the photos you sent me.I don't know if you ever received my letter. The boat was launched in 2006 but only last summer we really enjoyed it.I even took part in the annual race in Milina. It sails well but you have to get used to it. Do you still have your boat moored in Milina ?

Andreas
