Wharram Builders and Friends

A Photo & Discussion Forum for Wharram Design Enthusiasts

I'm in New Mexico, finishing up a Tiki 38. The plan is to launch next year.  I built the bulk of the boat on my own but I am at a place where I need an additional pair or two of hands and am hoping to find someone who is interested in Wharram's who wants to help and learn for a few days or even weeks.

I will provide room and board and a stipend, you'll get to see what it's like to work on a project like this. If a building-for-sailing time trade is interesting, that's open for discussion too.

Thanks.

Axel,

What dates are you looking for help on?

jeff

Hi Jeff, thanks for responding. I could use someone from now anytime until the end mid November.

Where in New Mexico?  I know the state well.

Jeff

Albuquerque, a few hundred miles down I-25 from you...

Vesko, I replied to your emails but wasn't sure if they were getting to you. My message to you is: "please take the train"

Axel, how does late September work for you? We'd like to come down and work with you for a few days. We will get an air bnb. I am also going to go obsidian hunting in the Hamus and do some climbing in the Gilla, after, so it will be a great trip.
I'm so happy to read that. And no, I didn't get an email

Late September sounds good Jeff, thanks for the offer. September is perfect for exploring south of here, especially the Gila. Going rock climbing? I happen to have a have a few pieces of Mexican obsidian I collected years ago if you would like some...
