Himemoa beams :
Hi Graham
I made the beams 3400mm wide, a little wider than standard i believe ..
The Ali tubes were 150mm diameter and 5mm thick wall , a bit of an overkill but would never fail
Had a local Ali boat building firm weld them up for me ..
i also used50mm tybe for bow and stern to hang nets off and a sort of dolphin catcher on bow tube ..
I didnt weight beams and original beams were gone when i restored her..
I now have another project a tiki 21 and those wooden beams I would say are approx same weight. or Ali a little lighter..
