Welcome! I'm just down the road. Where do you keep your Pahi?

I saw your boat at Cruinniu Na MBad yesterday, it's looking very smart. Will you be around this weekend?

Thank you for your comment, I hadn´t seen the modified Tiki 21. Could be the way to a faster build!!

    Regards,

My apologies for my tardiness, to be honest I simply have not checked for any messages till now. Spent the whole year head down, bum up working on our Hinemoa, Mystery. Got her on the water for two weeks before flying to U.S. to drive Mule wagons for Christmas and now helping inlaws sell house. Yeay!

It might have been me.  I'm not sure what you saw but there are photos of the Buccanneer 28 work on FB.

Glad you like the look of Tacenui Mae, it was love at first sight for me, If I didn't buy her I would have stayed with my Halcyon. There's a few Wharrams on the Exe an unusual Pahi 42 (on Scotts brokerage) built in South Africa with non lashed decks a pod and a rig like a big windsurfer. There's also a Tane that's in need of TLC hasn't moved in years but still appears to float.

    Hi Galway Bay,

Indeed, greetings to a fellow sailor. I have so far avoided the building part, but am not sure how long I can hold off the from the idea of building the illusive "perfect" boat!

  • Ian Bamsey

Thanks GB. Nice to see another surf shoe paddler. I'm based in Exeter, UK and have been sailing a Tiki 21 this summer. I'm expecting to buy it in the coming weeks. I plan to take it out of the water for a refurb ready for next season. I'll find some photos. For the time being he's a video of our family day out.

Thanks for the nice welcome, Galway Bay!

hey there you said that you had a boat in carrigaholt for a year or two in the 90s what was her name?

  • matt connolly

Hey Galway, any ideas you may be able to share would be great..wharram has recommended against the rig saying it's for very experienced sailors, which I'm not, however,I know the guy who bought Hans klarrs tehini and he also has some info..and I'm keen for the challenge, and any rig would need to be learned,so why not a crabclaw! I may be deluded on the other hand..
  • Mike Haromy

Lol.  it wont' be until half way into his build that he'll realize we are right!

    launching soooooooooooon.

Thanks for asking for my KD650. It is still under construction. But half of the work is done. Look at kd650.hardy-buchholz.de if you like.
