Hi Stephan, I'm in Ireland at the moment and I'll not be in the Philippines until January. Where are you thinking on building your boat?

hello, malaysia is not getting cheaper and its hard to find good ply here and a change would suit me as well. i am thinking to move to the philippines or to indonesia, probably bali. i have a 11 year old son who needs a dissent school (international)as well.

i just read somewhere that the timber price increased by 25% beginning this year in the philippines, is that right? i know, it is a difficult question but what would be the approx. material cost of a pahi 63 in the philippines with out labour? i want to stick to the wharram plans keep it simple and functional. buy bulk and some west system or similar quality epoxy.

enjoy irland, lived there as well for some 3 years and loved it apart from the weather.

yes, “the whitemanhead surcharge” i am familiar with this!

$60,000; i am around 25% - 30% above this with my research but still think to find some corners where i can save a coin. reality will be as usual the opposite :(

Wharram mentions something around 4000 hours to build. is that realistic? it looks to me like a lot of boat to be build in this time.
