Tags:
details about our sail, please check here: http://wharrambuilders.ning.com/group/crabclawrigg/forum/topics/tik...
we got our sails today. LEE sail send them out on Saturday and Tuesday morning we picked them up at the Telaga marina office. super fast.
so.... we opened the (2) boxes. everything was nice and save raped....
the main sail:
i send this guys in Hongkong 8 pictures with all measurements and details i wanted. i lay down the old sail on the ground and put the new one on top. they did a great job. we are MORE THAN HAPPY. everything is nicely done. looks like a perfect quality job and it is fitting perfect...we see us sailing save around "Cap of good hope" with sails like this...
this sails are way better then the ones we got from Doyle sails in New Zealand, 4 years ago....
the jib:
although here a great job. everything is strong made and a lot of hand sewing...
we can only comment LEE SAILS. from the beginning, the communication with Helen from LEE sail was fast and perfect.
the never had a doubt that they can do this sail... all the other sail makers looked very sceptic when we as to quote our sail.
after sending them my drawings, LEE sail ask the right questions and i could see that they really into the plans...
communication, workman ship and "door to door" delivery .... everything worked out perfect.
in 5 weeks time it was all done....
if you read all this trouble on http://wharrambuilders.ning.com/forum/topics/rolly-tasker-yes-i-m-p...
we are happy that we did not work with them (Tasker).....
tomorrow we sail from Langkawi 3000NM to Rodriquez in the Indian ocean.
cheers hans
