Hello everyone,

I am currently building a central deck pod for my Tiki 31. Can anyone tell me what is the clearance under the Tiki31 foresail as I am trying to figure out if I can build a permanent shelter over the deck pod. I have raised the main mast to 8m (about 7,30 per the plans I think). Any thoughts are welcome!

Manos. great to hear the building has continued. Not sure, but believe from memory that the clearance is between 40 to 50 cms on the original plan, depending on how much you tension the halyards. You should get space with some additional 40 to 50 cms in the mast, but something to experiment with....

Best wishes, and congratulations.

Hello Jose,

Thanks for the reply. Yes the building has continued but with constant interruptions. Something always comes up that seems to be more urgent to deal with. I hope this year is the lucky one for the launch ;). I will post some photos soon.

Manos - have always followed your build, and good to hear from you. If you ever want to sail a tiki 31, give me a call and we go sailing. I think you can get from 100 to 200 Eu to the  UK. Might help in the process. Post some photos whenever. Best wishes,

Jose A.

Thanks for the invitation Jose. My brother lives in London so If I come to visit him I will give you a call. I hope I can return the invitation for a sail in the southeast Med soon!!!
