I have a Tiki 38. Sails by Rolly Tasker. They are his heavyweight Cruising cloth and even after a good bit of use are still quite stiff. I have now been cruising the boat solo  for about 2 years. For whatever reason, on my boat the friction from the wingsail sleeves makes it very hard to raise and lower the sails. I have a new set of sails from Rolly Tasker and have a couple of problems. Perhaps someone else has had similar issues and can help.1. The vertical straps with velcro at the top of the sail that hold the top of the mast sleeve around the gaff, tore six to 8 inches of stitching loose the first time I used the foremain.
