Plans call for 4mm ply for sheathing. Can 6mm ply be used as a substitute (it is locally available where I live). Continue

Hi there, I am wondering please does anyone know how to access the article about removing the front beam on a Hitia 17? I would be most grateful thank you martin
Hey, thought y'all might like to see how Thomas and I capsized and then righted our Hitia 17 with crab claw rig. http://www.searunners.net/capsize-recovery-of-a-wharram-hitia-17-r...
Hey people! I think I will probably build a 17 first. Anyone Got a set of plans they never built?
Hi Paul Boughner, did you already started building?
I'm doing my research for the Hitia 17 construction.
I have not. I will probably not be starting until after Thanksgiving. Life, work, and the world conspiring and all.
There is a really good video for the 14 here
Well... I have just bought the plans for the Hitia 17!!!
Those videos are very instructive, I'm binge watching them all the time and looking into details. I really doubt I can build mine with that kind of results, but I'll try. I have zero experience with wood working.
I'm open to any advice, from plywood and materials suppliers in Florida, to techniques or anything. Everything is very welcomed as I have literally no idea on what I'm stepping into.
There is an older couple building a Tiki21 somewhere in Florida. They have a channel also. https://www.youtube.com/@RexandKathie/featured
looks like they have built 22 boats so far
