I am having a problem with my  rudder slipping off the step has anyone else had this problem? They are lashed on so they still work but are a little stiff.

Hello Ray,

you have to prevent any slipping of the line in the holes.

Correct the position of the rudders and glue the line in the holes (e.g. with sicaflex, tec7 or epoxy).

Greetings Michael

Many thanks Michael  I hadn’t thought of glueing . Thanks again . Regards Ray

Hi there. also important to get as tight as possible to start with and use a non stretch cord. Your step may have worn too and may need to be built up again so it is right angles to the edge of the skeg and rudder. That way the ledge is correctly orientated for the rudder to SIT on. cheers Brett

Thanks Brett for the advice . As an aside do you think a tiki38 can be lifted by travel lift ? As I'm in a marina where  they have one wide enough. Thanks again regards Ray
So effortless...the luxury of spacious yards and big equipment. One of my anxieties moving our Tiki 38 to the water from the yard. Your Dog looks good Chuck.
