"Hello Ray, you have to prevent any slipping of the line in the holes. Correct the position of the rudders and glue the line in the holes (e.g. with sicaflex, tec7 or epoxy). Greetings Michael"

"Eric, I have forgotten one necessary thing: wrap the rest of the line after the eight-knot between pole and helm. so you will minimize the shift but allow the pole to tilt backwards. Drawing attached. good luck Michael"

my alternative way to connect tiller and -bar. Take the line through the hole of the tiller bar and tie an knot to stop.
