Wharram Builders and Friends

I'm wondering which design would make a better ocean boat. I've read what James has said but I'm still not sure which design-- a Pahi or Tiki-- would make a better seagoing cruiser. Any thoughts?

Just don't bother building one: buy an old one to restore or a mono. They (Wharrams) are all good ocean boats.

OK, but which one would you choose, and why?  I did have a Tiki 30 and loved it.

I think you answered your own question, but don't quote me:

It's said: there are builders and sailors,

I'm in the former camp as a retired craftsman, doing a bit more sailing now I don't have 7 day every -week contracts to achieve with my own hands, which are quite worn out now. Thumbs! Only those who have suffered will know.

No, won't be building. Too old for that. Looking to buy. But the question is which one, Tiki or Pahi?

I don't know myself, hopefully some well -experienced Tiki or Pahi ocean sailors can help you.....
