I will be leaving my Tiki 21 on a visitor's mooring for a few days. The buoy has a metal ring on top to attach the lines. The harbourmaster insists on a chain length spliced into a rope to prevent chafe. This works fine on a monohull with bow roller etc.
The are a few problems and I'd like your comments.
1) Catamarans often overrun the mooring and on a big ugly mooring this can damage the topsides.
2) I can't easily use a chain, so I plan on using two screw gate carabiners or a shackle to attach my bridle.
