Construction and laminating of new main hatches for Godzilla. Very complicated (for me!) with curve of deck to take into account, and then metal hatches needing to be fitted to flat surface. Two layers of cloth for layup.

Haven't yet, but maybe should! They are a lot stronger than the old ones, and hopefully won't snag the genoa sheets as badly.
well yes and no - we have to take the mast down every year when we lift her out for the winter. There is virtually no tide here (in Finland, Baltic Sea) so we lift out with a truck. Each year I take on some project to fix/improve/repair! I am somewhat limited for time as winter is very harsh and I don't have a tent or indoor space to store her, so there is a small window each spring when I can actually work on the boat outside and it is warm enough for epoxy or painting! Of course the hatches I made in my workshop at home, but there was still some work to be done cutting off the old hatches and fixing the cabin tops.
