We have forgotten to raise our engines for the past three days and even said to each other today that we really must remember to do it.  But we forgot again and were busy here in the port hull when I heard what sounded like an intruder outside.  I ran up and shouted and Nev was right behind me going as fast as his newly replaced knees would allow and he shouted too.  But we found nothing out of order and the deck was empty and so was the pod and starboard hull.

I went back below and Nev was just following me when he heard the noise again and it sounded like something under the boat.  Opening the starboard engine cover, he discovered an 18 inch fish flopping around in the engine cradle!  It is refrigerator temperature outside here in Norfolk tonite, so I guess the can stay where he is and we will fetch him in time for tomorrow's breakfast!

Happy fishing, everyone!  Ann and Nev

We once had a flying fish go over the boat, down the hatch and in to the sink, I found it when I went below to find out what was making all the noise!

Hope you had a good breakfast.

My friend Charlie and I were crewing on a Pahi 52 crossing the Indian Ocean.  He was sleeping on deck one night when a flying fish landed in his sleeping bag.  Plenty of jokes about what sort of tackle he was using at the time...
