Hi Chris, where did you get the mast material from?  I am based in Namibia and have had no luck enquiring about an aluminium mast for my Tiki 46.

Thanks,

Robert

Thanks Chris, but the 46 needs about 200mm diameter with about a 5 - 6.5mm wall thickness.  If you bought them in SA, I might have luck with the same supplier on the larger tubes, any info would be appreciated.

I have drawings for the mast head and the mast foot, is this what you need? Have a look at my page, there you can see some pictures of the assembly.

Thanks bjorn. The drawings are really helpfull.i hope to proceed with the masts shortly.regards chris

We built ours out of 5" schedule 10 aluminum pipe. The masthead and rigging chocks were also made from 3/16" aluminum plate, and welded on.

We also had a chunk of solid aluminum cut and shaped just as per the drawings for the mast step, then welded it in place. I would use wood for this particular piece if I ever did it again, and through bolt it to the mast.

I have wooden mast step and head.
