Cork boards for soundproof and thermal insulation

Hello, the noise of an heavy rain on the roof in thin plywood tranform the hull in a big drum and my head also after half an hour . I have to use ears plug . I am looking for some insulation. I cant use something to thick because it is already very narrow . 1 cm is the maximum i can tolerate but is it enough?
I am thinking of cork board or cork sheet more flexible but thinner max 0.6 mm. There is also cork paint whish goes everywhere but not so efficient as soundproof ,needs a compressor for application.
And why not the biggest density of cork sheet directly stick on the flat outside exterior roof of each cabin, ( forbidden for hight heels and drop of anchor...) and you walk on souple carpet of cork ?

You can get cork cut into squares about an inch square and mounted on a scrim which makes it flexible.  We used it for the core of the laminated roof of our pod.

Hi has anyone used phenolitic foam to heat insulate the cabins.its very easy to work with and covered in vinyl quite durable i think.it comes with a thin ally backing which would need to be covered. perhaps vinyl or canvas glued on both side sand held in place with velcro . it is quite light and can be cut with a box cutter or blade.
