Hello,

when I bought my Tiki 6 years ago she already had the beams made of aluminium. The seller said he'd chosen aluminium because the original beams made of wood are very prone to get rotten. If you want I can try to contact him to get more details. Cheers, r.

Hello Jan, all those discussions about alu beams in the forums here lead me to the question of needing a dolphin striker at the main beam. I don't have such a striker - is it really needed? I never had the feeling that it needs more support. What's your opinion? I've read that the Wharram designers absolutely say yes, which makes me sceptical, maybe I just had great fortune over the last years...  Regards/Grüße, Reinhard
