New Mainsail for Tiki 21

My next project is building a new mast made of carbon. I make it 7.50 meter long. Also the gaff will be longer. The peak is higher than the normal sail. There is a fullbatten area on the gaff and a normalbatten area on the rest of the sail. The gaff and the battens are short enough for easy handling.

The sail area is 18.70 square meters -  four square meters  more than my old sail.

Will this increase the weather helm or are you compensating for that somewhere else?

It is for more performance in light wind. For such relationship I have also a big reacher with 16 square meters set on a bowsprit and a genoa with 9 square meters.

With the higher streching ratio I also hope for more performance and and better upwindconditions.
