Yes it is possible to lengthen your masts with bigger sails. I did it on my Pahi 42 when I built it in Cape Town, South Africa. I then sailed it to Nosy Be, Madagascar 13 years ago, an area also with lighter winds most of the year.

Raise the masts of the Tiki 38
This is Giovani from Tiki 38 Amelia, currently living aboard in Paraty- RJ, Brazil, a region of light winds.I am studying the possibility of increasing the masts to 12m, changing the service sails, installing a bowsprit and installing a screecher and a gennaker sail.Any suggestions?The idea would be to increase the masts in the TOP region, increasing them with an aluminum tube, leaving approximately 1m inside the wooden mast and 2m above.See More

- Maybe you are looking at the picture of the oro that I had my t 38 is not a very big pod but is all enclosed about 1.8 x 2.4 maybe
