"Thanks for the replies guys. Yes I think technology has provided a few more options than the first two. I like the portable battery powered LED option, here in NZ the decent ones are very expensive. Haven't seen those NASA ones in your post…"

Nav lights and VHF aerial

Hello fellow Wharram aficionados. I am going to install nav lights and VHF antenna to my Tiki 26. I have a few ideas / options but was wondering if any one out there has any bright ideas for a simple solution.Of course the obvious is on top of the mast, and may go this way but for only one or the other. LED lights affect the radio signal  and have been advised to keep them separate.Happy sailing / building... See More

"Nice work Robert, I found your experiments really interesting, it certainly got me thinking as to how I can apply some of this in the future, so thank you. One thing I did find quite spectacular was your ability to balance all of those lead weights…"

Robert Hughes replied to Frank Higgott's discussion Two stroke or four stroke?? Ahhhh
"Thanks Frank, that's much appreciated. That performance is far better than with my Mariner 5.  Most of the difference must be due to the high thrust prop since I can't get that speed even flat out. My intention is to build the new…"

"Hello Robert, I've recently launched my T26 and just stepped the mast. The Tohatsu 6hp ultra long has turned out to be an excellent choice. She gets up to about 6kts easily at a quarter throttle. My boat at this stage is very lightly loaded…"

"There is one here in NZ called Soltice. She is a Pahi 31 scaled up 10%, turned into a 34 footer, not sure of the beam. Was for sale for a while a couple of years back, I had a look at her and went for a sail. She sailed well. She was about 20 years…"
