The hull shape is wonderful. Out of plywood! Looks like it was molded in (gasp!) fiberglass.

The plywood is a very eco friendly Poplar plywood. Very low cost, similar in cost to Birch plywood, but much lighter, it is lighter per panel than ocume. It does need sheathing though, but as Hanekke said, she is sheathed anyway. The costing sheet stood around £3500 so far with sails and fitting out to add. I use Sailcut4 to design lug sails and have had a go at Amatasi's mainsail, and sent the results to Hanekke.

lovely colour,all custardy.brian what have you used as a final coat over the sheathing?p.s could you show some more pics if you have them of the lashings

Thanks Brian, just got the studyplan in the post today. May well be interested, still no price on the full set of plans though.
