What boat (s) are you building or do you own?
Built and launched a Hitia 17. Purchased a Narai MK-1, built in 1976, from the original builder. "Meander" has been renamed "Taku" and it's our intent to take her to the Bahamas in February.
Country, City, and State?
Hampstead, NC
About me or us?
I have over 40 years of experience in woodworking, but my introduction to boatbuilding has been rather recent. I'm a 2010 graduate of the full-time Wood Boat Building Program at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC. This program is one of only a handful of full-time programs in the U.S. While exposed to a variety of both traditional and modern boatbuilding techniques, I've more experience in some areas than others. I probably know more about epoxy than I really wanted to learn.
Looking to?
Sail our Narai MK-1 and Hitia 17.

I've learned to do new things using two methods.  In the first method, somebody shows me something new, preferably with an explanation.  In the second method, I find out what works by trial and error.  This is usually more painfull, although the lesson has a greater tendency to stick in my memory.
