I am faced with the samething you are.i think I have come up with a solution. I am thinking of using silicon bronze bolts with a bronze attachment over the top of the beam.the bolts will be 3/4 inch instead of 5/8 and they will be rubber padded only on the top.the side would be wooden shims and the bolts would be threaded top and bottom so as to be totally adjustable.the bolts going through the beam troth would rely on 5200 caulk sealant. If the fittings you have are installed like mine ,they are difficult to take apart. If you have a land line I could talk rather than ask my wife to scribe for me. this picture obviously is not me but our daughter who was raised on the boat.

The best advice is to contact James wharram and buy an set of study plans of your boat with lashings on the beams as what I have done so far. The next thing to think of is thus.

You may have to take out the old beam if its under the deck like on my boat then fill in the hole where the beam has gone through and glass over the patch. Then make cleats check on ytube videos to look at lashings and you will have some idear. If you are placing the beam on the deck or in an trough, the lashings will have to go on both sides of the hull. At this point it is worthwhile thinking are you widening the boat ? Do not widen too much as that will be an drop in height above the waterline. At this point is as much advice I can offer you.
