Thaank you for the kind comment Rogerio, but you are my envy. You are sailing! It appears that you have a great boat and a happy crew. Also looks like good sailing grounds.

Thanks for adding me as a friend. Glad to see that you're planning on a Tiki 30. The further that I progress with mine, I find that there is enough room to make a truly comfortable cruiser for two.

    Rogerio,

Been following your progress. Looks great. You'll probably finish before I do!

    Thanks for the pictures.

  • Marc LaFrance

I am going to install an Air Head on the riser at the aft end of the starboard hull.

We'll rig a curtain for privacy.

Saludos.

  • Ricardo Aráoz

Hola Rogerio, veo que todavía no has empezado tu mástil.

    Saludos.

Anthony Collison Raka was made to be a little faster i had a friend in Florida who made 1 I was always ready to sail with hm and his wife,I envied his boat very much.its a little narrower less living space,if you want more comfort Tangaroa would be best between the 2

  • Trevor McKenzie

    Hi Rogerio,
Thanks for your kind comment. Just had a look at your two boats, very nice, love the Melenesia, great colours and practical changes to original plans, looks really smart.
    Cheers Trevor

  • paul anderson

Rogerio, can you tell me about your anchor, do you use a bridle, how heavy, how do you attach the rode to the boat etc.

    cheers paul

  • Rogerio Martin

No I don't use a bridle, We build one suport, witch the same anchor size, in middle of frontbeam. I use 7,5kg Bruce + swivel + 10m of 8mm chain + 50m 12mm Three-Strand Anchor Lines

We build a chain box and all boat is fixed there in one big Heavy-Duty Open Base Cleat. This cleat is screwed with 4x 10mm ss screw in one big cross under the chain box cover.

When we opt for this arrangement, the power was distributed between the two beams and the chain box

We have one suport for anchor and another for moring

Hello Roger. Thank you for you help . There are just a problem; I think a automatique translator was used, and it is almost impossible to understand the meaning of you comment. Never mind, anyway,I will stretch my English language. It could be better  in preparation of my futur trip

  • Charles Eugene Marie

  • Marc LaFrance

Just epoxy and fabric. Everything outside will be paint.
