Somebody about to build a Amatasi?

I've been thinking about this for some years. Have the study plans...just keep hesitating, but don't know why. Love the concept and aesthetics but always wondered if she has a leeway problem? But could fit some daggerboards blades

I think the leeway can be minimised by 2 mesures: First the "extra paddles or rudders" as forseen by the designers and with slight larger mini-keels may be from 2 inch to 4 inch. How efficient this should be can only be mesured in practice. 

I'm still full engaged with my "outdoors camp" and organic farm project in the Philippines. After the construction works are done, I'll have my workshop and will start with the Amatasi. I bought the plans already.

I wish you well! The plans are currently discounted on JWD website so may take the plunge myself, but need to finish my workshop. So maybe cutting this winter and a full summer of epoxy work in 2018!

A bit late: but did anyone build her already?

I am thinking about building one as a test for a bigger one.

Even thinking about building het traditionally lapstrake/klinker from solid planking.

Whats your idea about this?

I also want to change the sheer a bit so that I can build with straight planks.

Anyone?

If your going to build one as a test are you then going to on sell it ?
If so then a more popular and simpler design like a Tiki 21 might be better ?
