I think I made a stupid mistake. I built the centre and the aft beam the same length as both are using the same drawing in the plans. (there is one drawing for centre and aft beam and a second one for front beam). Today I put the beams onto the hulls for the first time and realized imediately how wrong that was. The hulls are of course wider at the centre beam position than they are at the aft beam position, so the aft beam has a 10cm overhang on each side.
Solution?
I am thinking to cut off the (roughly) 10cm overhang on each side and glue a new end cap in place. Am I right, or am I overlooking anything here again?

Ralff i think you should be fine as the beam ends are possibly the strongest point of the beams believe you me that you are not the only one making cock ups lately.
p.s i am talking from a t26 perspective as far as the beams go.
Thank you for your input everyone. The shock was quite severe when I put the beams on the first time but I think it should be an easy fix.

It is better to have the sides of the cat like protekted by your long beam ends. Leave it like it is. Respect.
Ralph, i think the advantage to the strap method of attaching the beams is that the beam ends do not protrude. The beam ends can and will catch on pilings when you are docking and undocking. I think that having a smooth path along the rubrail is preverable. I prefer the lashings so tolerate the beam ebds sticking out.
Well, I have made my choice already last summer when I cut off the aft beam. It would have looked stupid anyway to have one beam stick out while the others are flush with the hulls and yes, David I am sure they do catch on things when docking and leaving the dock.

+ one avoiding making a 10cm too long AFT beam. Thanks Ralph.
A see a simple dashed line, and a length, in web draw to symbolize this shorter beam (but nothing in floor draw), and no more explanation is given. I suppose that the last vertical web wood position is close the end of aft cross beams.
But in C1 sheet (1/10 scale), aft beam seams to be even shorter (+/- 15cm less).
Asking to other builders : do you suggest to wait first assembly to adjust aft beam lenght ? or 10cm (5 each side) was ok for you ?
