I finally dare to go public with my build. I have absolutely no experience in boat building so I was not sure how far I will get. Now after 9 month I am confident enough that I will finish it.
I was surprised to find out that the main problem so far is to free some time for the build. The expected technical problems for me as a total greenhorn proved to be manageable so far.

Happy to meet another hitia 17 builder. I'm just a little more in front of you, but you should catch me soon. Perharps we could share experiences and problems.
I'm in the stage to close the foredeck. Bad surprise. When I place a straight line on top of bulkheads 3-2-1, the BK 1 seems too low (around 10 mm) or the BK 2 too high. Is it the same for you or I made a mistake somewhere ???
no prob.
For me a good working session will be necessary to adjust the foredeck, with deckstringers they are quite stiff.
I'm going to consider adding intermediate bulkhead like in :

Thanks a lot for your message. Good news for you. In fact, as my boat is 500 km far from my home, I could only analyse in december where I screwed up.
As I try to explain my problems to my wife, she assess the situation by economy, in Deustchland everything seems to toe the line and in France everything goes wrong....
