Material for Hitia 17 hard hatch covers made from 3/16" cove and bead Sapele strips 3/4' wide. They'll have 2 layers 4 oz. cloth under, covered with single layer 4 oz. and solid hardwood edging. Arch in the middle is 1", to shed water and add strength.

Nicely done, Omar. I cambered my hatches as well, with solid mahogany frames rabbeted to accept 3/8" mahogany ply tops. I had to kerf the ply to get it to conform to the camber, and then fill the kerfs with mahogany strips. The cove and bead strips likely make for a nice fair curve.
