    Hi Bob,

I am wearing long sox, a turtle neck shirt with sweat shirt over it, and the heating is on.  We should be behind Cape Hatterass by now visiting with friends there and expecting to head offshore around Nov 1 from Beaufort, NC for an overnight run to Charleston and more friends.  But no, we will be cleaning our winter coats, I gotta buy some snow boots, and find that snow shovel and the salty sand for the front walk.  HELP!!! WINTER IS GONNA GET US!!!!   For us, this will be like one of your boogy monsters grabbing us with slimy green arms.

But we will survive and it will be nice to spend the holidays with family here in the old house again.  Nice to deepen old friendships which have grown a little apart due to all the years of sailing away.  And Nev will have his other knee replaced.  Plus the house is still getting cleared and decorated and that has been much needed.  Daughter and family will move in with us so we will have that adventure of changing relationships as we live together as adults now instead of as parent and kids.  Actually, Nev and I feel a lot like kids these days.  Jessica is so responsible and capable compared to us...

I will have this winter to start writing my stories and when I finish one, I will send it to you to see what you think.  I will go ahead and put them on line and see if others are interested.  Maybe something will happen.  If so, good.  If not, good too because I really like writing even though I can't spell and my vocabulary is not fancy or impressive.

What is impressing us is the number and quality of folks who warmly call us friends here in Providence.  It amazes us to see so many folks I admire who are happy to see us and invite us over, are generus with us, and genuinely seem to care.  Blows us away.

Hope we can get together with you folks.  John James had me come down to help put glass shoes on his Tiki 30 first hull.  We joked it was a Cinderella event.  A glass slipper for a pretty girl.  But getting the slipper on involved him suspending the hull upside down from his shed ceiling.  He has completed upper and lower hull and all the furniture is in and hatches made etc.  So we will Glass the lower hulls soon and turn the hull to glass the upper hull and topsides and deck.  Clever John James.

All the very best to you, to Tess, and to those energetic boys of yours.  I hope to read more of your writing and hear about more of the family adventures.

         Love,  Ann and Nev

Hey Bob Get a hold of  memoir by jim brown read that good book. If you go to WW W outrigmedia.com   see pictures  coming from his second book volume two book Of them sailing these sort of like  iceboat sort of trimarans 16-17 feet long underneath the Golden gate Bridge. Really looks like fun. I've got a hobie  cat 18 footer you could build a main hull and turn it into a trimaran similar to what you see in the jim Brown video.cheap-fun.
