Tiki 38 masts

Looking at buying Tiki 38 Tanoa in South Africa. Lost fore mast due to step failure, thus need to replace and rebuild madt step/box. A tapered fibreglass mast of a bigger Wharram sourced as replacement. Rear mast round section alluminium. Any thoughts on one fibre one alluminium. Both madts and all rigging of boat at present. Have the opportunity to make changes to both masts and do it right !! But need help please!
