Tiki 30 beam blocks- distance from cabin to accommodate straps?

Using strap down method- anyone have experience on how close the deck blocks can be to cabin walls and still leave room to fish the straps through?   How deep did you make your slots?

also - when attaching the final plywood sheathing onto the beams- can  you do any fileting of the webs to that last piece of ply?   or do you assume that the top and bottom framing , loaded w/ epoxy and then screwed will be sufficient.   I know they are strong - even without that ply or the eventual glass, they hold my weight w/ no deflection - but i am  curious as to what technique/comfort level others are using.   BTW- i can find no center to center schedule for screw install....
