I have the cones for a JSD and need to insert the flat nylon ties into the line. Here are some shots of the nylon ties inserted into 1/2" 12-strand dyneema:

And, 5/8" double-braid:

What do you think? The double-braid maintains its structure better than the 12-strand when the nylon is inserted, so I'm leaning that way. The 12-strand would be much lighter, especially when wet.

I could likely use 1/2" double-braid for the main drogue line of 200' plus, with 75' of 3/8" 12-strand dyneema for the leader.  Bridle legs of 30' each 3/8" 12-strand dyneema to the hulls.  This keeps the cones on the double-braid, and the dyneema for the rest lightens it up. I think I just convinced myself!

Mate i like your work, although i would prefer another material instead of dyneema for the leader. i think the more shock absorption you have with these drogues the better with respect to load transfers.

all the best paul.

You raise a good point, Paul. . .Something I will seriously consider.
