Wharram Builders and Friends

A Photo & Discussion Forum for Wharram Design Enthusiasts

We hope to be buying a tiki 31 very soon (as soon as the U.K flights start again).

We will be doing a lot of work on her so we can sail around the greek islands in the summer.

We are new to the forum and would like to say HI to all you other Wharrm owners and look forward to meeting some of you in the future.

This will be our first boat and the first catamaran of any size that I have sailed so hope some of you will be able to help out with a few top tips !!!

Previously I have skippered monohulls of various shapes and sizes from traditional Gaffers and Luggers to class one racing boats . I am looking forward to the challenge of sailing a Wharram especialy short tacking into a head sea!!! (maybe not)

we live in Italy and I will be sailing the boat from U.K to the  East coast some time in May with any luck (have to get her re rigged and sea worthy first)

Thats all for now folks .

Happy sailing .

Welcome David and hope the purchase of the T31 will be a success. You'll get the hang of it very quickly (although I'm still trying to perfect the trim on my T21) and you'd soon realise why Wharrams are so loved by those who sail them!
Please post a few photos when you can and keep us up to date of your experiences.
Carl
Hi Carl,
Thanks for the welcome.
Will post photos as soon as I can ,I have to get back to U.K to see the boat (we live in Italy).
Hopefully we will be sailing her from the Isle of white to the East coast of Italy sometime in May.
Looking forward to being afloat again!!!
Dave.
