Set your laser halfway the length of the boat and point at the hull and set the hight on the waterline-height. Mark these points with painters-tape
Move your laser more to the bow and the stern; but watch for the right height! Repeat the pointing at the hull.
Do the same at the other side of the hull. Use the hieights at the bow and stern to set your laser at the right height
Work in the dark moments of the day: a cheap laser is not as bright as you’ld like it to be ….Good luck ….
