Hi Gorby!
nice to meet you! my name is Filippo and I write from Italy. You really have a nice web site!
From your post I read you don't work during winter due to low temperature, maybe I can suggest you to use an infrared light to warm up resin befor you apply it.
I use this system during winter (for example today it was 2-3 °C all day), the resin needs more time to cure, but... it works fine!
have a look on my site and keep your enthusiasm!

Ciao!
Very nice to hear that you like my site. Like your site as well! Haven't found a way to translate it yet though. And thanks for the tip with the infrared light. I already use a form of pre-heating by putting the resin and hardener in a insulated box with a heat-source. I use an old refrigerator as an insulated box and heat it up with a lightbulb which is controlled by an oldfashioned thermostat. Works fine up to 25 degrees. But maybe your way works better.
But a lot has happened since my last post. I had to move my hulls to a new location because there was mildew on them because of the humidity in the shed. Now I have a larger shed which is insulated and can be heated. The move can be seen on my site. But first I have to set up shop on the new location, so I won't work on the boat until april. See you then...
Greeting from Holland
