Removing main mast T38

Hi all I have to remove my main mast . I’m hope I can use the mizen  mast and gaff as a crane . I estimate the weight at 60 KG. And have made a crane that can lift this ,but I’m not sure of the weight .Has anyone any experience of this operation and or knows the weight of the mast which is hollow softwood 10m long 14cm dia  wall thickness 3cm. Hope some has done this before. "Found the problem which was a bad earth, moral always check the basics. I'd assumed that the presents of a wire ment that the earth was ok but the wire went nowhere. So ran an earth direct to the busbar hey presto bright lights. Hope this helps…"

"Too much resistance in the wiring or in the connections is the most likely culprit. Of course, the battery might be low as well."

"Hi there. also important to get as tight as possible to start with and use a non stretch cord. Your step may have worn too and may need to be built up again so it is right angles to the edge of the skeg and rudder. That way the ledge is correctly…"

"Hello Ray, you have to prevent any slipping of the line in the holes. Correct the position of the rudders and glue the line in the holes (e.g. with sicaflex, tec7 or epoxy). Greetings Michael"
