to many wharrams rest in a boatyard

we spend the last 12 month sailing from the Philippines to Thailand. we meet a lot of wharrams on the way.... sadly, 80 % of all this boat are in pieces and resting on the hard.we saw in thailand: 1 pahi 50, 2 tiki30+, 2 tiki46, 1 tiki21and in the Philippines 1 tiki38 out of order... we spoke to some (new) owners, the boats where not old, 5-7 years old but often for many month "out off order..."what is it with this wharram community? do we like building, fixing, playing with new construction…See More

Former school teacher, turning 50 in 2017, former commercial crabber in pamlico sound. Son of the south from Tennessee.

Wifel thinks I am crazy, Iowa native lived here 95% of her life, Leary of boats.

4 kids at home, 15, 7, 6, 3. If we don't start with them.... Then when would we.... But of course wife sees that as a good thing.

Find the right SV.
Sail the loop of eastern US.
Cruise the carribean.
Sail-pack across Europe :-)
