Greg,
do you keep your bimini up when sailing? Or do conditions cause it to come down?
We are green with envy, BTW!!
I see you have a bimini top on your boat. The other problem I have on my boat is that when I am taking I can't go through the cockpit anymore it is good for sitting under. I don't notice any difference in going to windward not being able to sheet in as hard.
I think I will be in San Clemente this coming week visiting family and surfing.
Your boat looks good!
Greg
Mine is small; I can sit under it, but not while at the helm, unfortunately! I do need to have deck tent built for non-sailing shelter.
Little by little, I'm getting the tiki into shape; there is always something to do!
Yes boats seem to be never ending projects. I have a large tarp I put over the Bimini If I need a tent. The boom on my boat helps with this. My outboard sled hinges broke on the way to Walker Cay in the Bahamas luckly we can beach our boats.
Actually on the trip a lot of things broke and needed fixing or repalcement,
1. Cell phone dropped in 15 foot of water.
2. Laptop went intermitent then quit completely
3. Camera card became full unable to download to laptop
4. Autopilot went bad at West end Grand Bahamas didn't get it back until we got back to Maimi
5. Main sail batten pockets ripping out
6. New 9.8 Hp tohatsu outboard blew up, luckly still in US got warranty repair in 2 days.
It was still a lot of fun.
