Hey Roger,

We were down at the Pier in SF this past August (my wife is SF native but we live in New England) and one of our sons came tearing after us yelling, "Mama! Papa! There's a Tiki over there!" Well, we plodded around and, sure enough, there was your boat. Just wanted to tell you it was like seeing an unexpected friend (we had a Tiki 30). At any rate, we thought your aluminum beams were interesting.... Looks like a nice boat. Take good care. Bob and Tess.

Hi Bob,

That is a real coincidence! I bought the boat in September and sailed her from SF to her new home at the top of the Bay. The alu beams seem to work very well. They are built to plan as if in plywood, but are welded alu. The boat is very stiff, and it is very convenient for attaching blocks etc. without having to worry about the problems of placing fittings in wood.
