I really like the synthetic rigging. Colligo is a great company to do business with. John Franta has been very helpful. One thing as you can see in this phot is that the chainplates need to be longer than normal. The deadeye connection fitting is thick and will chafe the the glass/ ply here. I had to make my first one over to rectify this. Also the spectra/dynex line works very well for frapping the beam lasuings, it is very slippery and allows the lashing to be tightened very well.

What I did to prevent the abrasion of the cabin was to get a sheet of thin stainless steel (3/64"?) and shape 4 pieces to fit behind the deadeyes; the ss pieces are simply held on by Dolphinite bedding compound. Longer chainplates are a good solution, of course. Scott Williams fabricated his own chainplates for this reason.

Yes i was a little concerned about it. I'll keep a close eye on it, and if there is any rubbing i'll glue a SS patch behind it. good idea
